I am Andrea Wagner. I have lived in Liberty for 7 years and been involved in the community almost as soon as I moved here. I am a conservative and believe in small efficient government. Wife to Don and mom to two children, Christopher and Willow. I may not be homegrown but this is our hometown; my husband and I put our roots down here and have raised our children in this city. Liberty has winning morals, traditions and values that need to be protected and would have a strong voice with me as your mayor.
Since moving to Liberty, I have been involved at every opportunity I could be. I’ve volunteered countless hours and resources in many of the events over the years, more recently the Community Summer Event(hosted by councilman Jeff Massie), the local Liberty Farm Market, the Community Clean Up Day, and the Flower Planting event in 2024.
Outside of Liberty, I have also served Pickens County as a member of the Pickens County Recreation Board since 2024 and worked for the Pickens County Elections Board since 2022.
I have attended and notated 99% of the city council, planning commission, and zoning board meetings since 2022, sharing my notes and information from these meetings on social media to allow for the community to be informed if they were unable to attend, but also to have a record and conversation around the agenda. I have a long record of communicating with the public via social media, informing the public and keeping them educated on the issues, a record of constituent service, and being your voice.
As a data analyst, a forensic audit is at the top of my list for the first thing that we desperately need in Liberty. Even after the audit I would continue to research the city budget, audit and financial statements, putting forth conservative solutions, articulating to the public so they aren’t left in the dark.
Liberty citizens will always bring first-hand knowledge of the community’s needs and concerns that might be missed or unseen from those on council or in the administration. The citizens advisory committee would come alongside planning and other programs to help and assist, and build that sense of community.
